About Anita

A little about me...

Welcome to My Yoga Journey

I love yoga, not just for the body, but for the mind and soul too. For over 30 years, I’ve been practicing yoga, embracing its spiritual side and sharing its incredible benefits with others. To me, yoga is not just exercise—it’s a way of life, a source of strength and calm that nurtures well-being on every level.

Through regular yoga practice, I’ve found resilience and peace, even amidst life’s ups and downs. I sleep better, feel stronger, less achy, and have a greater sense of overall well-being. This is what I love to share with others in my classes.

Yoga for Everyone

The yoga I teach is for real, everyday people—whether you can touch your toes or not, whether you’re dealing with injuries or challenges. I offer modifications for every body type and need. My focus is on traditional Hatha yoga, with gentle influences from Qi Gong and Tai Chi to bring a softer, more nurturing approach. And yes, there’s quite a bit of lying down too!

Each class is themed, adding variety and meaning to ancient yoga practices. My sessions include pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and relaxation, often accompanied by my Himalayan Singing Bowls or Yoga Nidra.

About Me

Having grown up abroad, I’ve always had a love of travel and the sea. Now, I’m fortunate to live on Hayling Island on the South Coast of England, where the water is never far away. I enjoy being in nature—walking by the sea, paddle boarding, swimming, and taking the occasional cold-water dip, which always makes me feel alive!

I trained as a yoga teacher with FRYOG, completing a 200-hour course over two years in 2019. Since then, I’ve continued my journey, studying the ancient practice of yoga and completing various in-depth training courses. Prior to teaching yoga, I was a Therapeutic Radiographer for over 30 years, caring for cancer patients.

Additional Qualifications:

I’m passionate about teaching and sharing yoga with others. Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, I look forward to welcoming you to a class soon!
